Cookies set by the Dailymotion Player

The embedded player sets several cookies on the dailymotion.com domain: ts and ts_c (1 year, session and consent state), ff (1 year, feature flags), x1.cid and x1.uid (1 year, user identification used for audience and advertising), v1 (session, player state), s_session_id (session, session identifier) and qos (session, quality of service). The player also loads third party tags from Google Ad Manager, Magnite (formerly Rubicon), Index Exchange and several SSPs, which set their own cookies.

GDPR, ePrivacy and the French context

All Dailymotion Player cookies fall under ePrivacy art. 5(3): prior consent is required, even for the audience measurement cookies because Dailymotion combines them with advertising. The CNIL has a 2022 deliberation on video embeds that explicitly requires consent for the Dailymotion ecosystem.
