SPNEGO (Simple and Protected GSSAPI Negotiation Mechanism) is an authentication mechanism, not a product. RFC 4559 describes its use over HTTP, known as Negotiate authentication, to sign users in with Kerberos or NTLM, typically on Windows networks. It works through HTTP headers and is not used to track visitors.
