Bringie is an EU advertising and conversion platform that uses cookies and pixel tracking to run retargeting campaigns and measure performance funnels.
Bringie is an advertising and conversion platform used by ecommerce brands and lead generation businesses to launch retargeting campaigns, measure performance funnels and build audiences from on site behaviour. The platform exposes a JavaScript pixel and a server side API.
Bringie sets first or third party cookies, captures the IP address, user agent, page URL, referrer, custom events such as ViewProduct, AddToCart and Purchase, transaction values and audience segment membership. The data are used to recognise visitors across sessions and to attribute conversions.
Cookie storage falls under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and requires prior consent. Profiling for advertising and audience building is processed under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Sensitive categories should never be sent to the pixel.

Block the Bringie pixel until the marketing or advertising category is accepted. Use the platform native consent mode or your CMP to gate it. Honour withdrawal by stopping events and clearing the cookies.
Bringie hosts its core services in the European Union. Some sub processors (analytics, CRM integrations) may operate from third countries. List them in the privacy policy and use Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
Sign a Data Processing Agreement, document Bringie in your record of processing activities, run a DPIA covering profiling and conversion measurement, gate the pixel through your CMP and offer a user level opt out.
Websites using Bringie must obtain user consent under GDPR regulations.
DPIA considerations
A DPIA is recommended because Bringie aggregates cross site browsing events and conversion data to build advertising audiences subject to profiling rules.

Bringie places tracking cookies for advertising — comply with GDPR using FlowConsent.
Bringie sets a persistent visitor identifier (br_uid), an attribution cookie (br_attr) and a short lived event cookie (br_evt) on the publisher domain or on bringie.com depending on the integration mode.
Yes. Storage and reading of advertising cookies fall under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive and require prior, freely given, informed consent.
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent) is the only valid basis. Profiling for advertising is excluded from legitimate interest under EDPB guidance.
Bringie processes data inside the European Union by default. Some sub processors may be in third countries. Document them and rely on Standard Contractual Clauses if needed.
A DPIA is recommended. Cross site profiling and audience building meet the criteria for high risk processing on ecommerce scale.
Block the pixel until consent is granted. Sign a Data Processing Agreement. Document the integration in your record of processing activities. Offer a user level opt out.
Server side conversion APIs, contextual advertising and first party measurement offer different risk profiles while keeping retargeting capabilities.
List Bringie as a processor with the categories of data, purposes (retargeting, measurement, audience building), retention, transfer mechanism if any and a direct opt out link.
