### What is a cookie scanner?

A tool that analyzes your site to find the cookies and trackers on it. It sorts them (necessary, analytics, marketing) and shows which service sets them, so you know what requires your visitors' consent.

### Is the scanner really free?

Yes, with no credit card and no commitment. We only ask for an email address to send you the report. To prevent abuse, one address can request up to 5 reports a day.

### How long does the scan take?

Between 1 and 3 minutes: your page is loaded in a real browser, just as a visitor would load it. If the same site was scanned very recently, the report appears immediately.

### My site uses Google Analytics. Do I need a banner?

Yes. Google Analytics sets analytics cookies that are not essential for your site to work. The GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive require you to obtain the visitor's consent before setting them.
